Helping plants through pollination |
|
SETT Enhanced (Calcium, Boron, Growth activators) |
SETT Enhanced is a Stoller calcium product with boron. The product also contains Stoller's growth co-factor additive that helps plants function when temperatures are in the extreme.
When the temperature is below 20 degree C and above 30 degree C, the auxin production in the plant slows. Auxin is critical to the pollination process in the plant.
Stoller's SETT Enhanced has been shown to improve cold night pollination and has been incorporated into programs to help pollination with trees, vines, vegetables and field crops. The calcium and boron in SETT Enhanced is complexed with Stoller's polyamine chelate and both calcium and boron also help the plant to function effectively.

Enhancing the Root System |
|
Stoller's RootFeed an essential input for healthy crops |
Stoller teaches that the Roots are the "Brains of the Plant". It is true that the roots are the control centre for the plant and besides uptake of water and nutrients, signaling hormones are produced in the roots that have a major controlling influence on the plant.
Stoller's RootFeed is a custom designed soil nutrient designed to keep the roots healthy. It is used to compliment the existing fertiliser program and is ideally fed to the plant through the irrigation system on a 10-14 day schedule. This ensures that continuous new root growth is maintained.
Make RootFeed a part of your soil nutrition program.

Recovering from Frost |
|
Foli-Zyme helps plants recover from frost |
After a frost event, the plant not only suffers physical tissue damage but it enters a mode of stress. The stress causes the plant to undergo a hormone shift and to virtually shutdown.
What happens after this stress period determines the chances of survival.
A treatment with Stoller's Bio-Forge helps relieve the plants immediate stress.
Stoller's Foli-Zyme in combination with Zinc Chelate in a follow up application, can then help the plant reactivate.
Foli-Zyme contains a nutrient mix featuring calcium and also contains added growth co-factors that help reduce ethylene (stress hormone) production, enhance root growth and stimulate new shoots.

Post Harvest Options Stoller 2010 |
|
Options for soil and leaf application |
After harvest, the nutrient status of trees and vines should be reviewed. Removal of fruit means removal of nutrients. In the spring when the soil is still cold, the tree or vine relies on nutrients that have been stored from the prior season. Nitrogen is a key nutrient that is relied upon for spring growth. In addition, elements such as calcium and magnesium are required in sufficient quantities for healthy growth and micro nutirents such as zinc, manganese, and boron are all important.
Stoller offers programs for both soil and foliar application. The programs feature Stoller's Post Harvest 23 for soil application along with a range of chelated secondary and micro nutrients. Consider your post harvest requirements now and contact Stoller for information on standard or customised treatments for post harvest.
